Ce cours est consacré aux aspects fondamentaux des systèmes répartis et aux problèmes que posent leur conception et leur réalisation. Un accent tout particulier sera mis sur les moyens pour pallier l’absence de temps global dans les systèmes asynchrones et aussi sur les techniques de base pour concevoir des systèmes résistants aux défaillances.

This course is devoted to the fundamental aspects of distributed systems and the problems posed by their design and implementation. Particular emphasis will be placed on overcoming the lack of global time in asynchronous systems and basic techniques for designing fault-tolerant systems.
