Objectives of the course
By the end of this introductory course,
- The student will be able to define Phonetics and its three branches (i.e. Articulatory Phonetics, Acoustic Phonetics, and Perceptual Phonetics)
- The student will be able to compare and contrast between the types of English vowels
- The student will be able to classify English consonants
- The student will be able to use English phonemes appropriately
