In mathematics, the study of probability (from the Latin probabilitas) is a subject of great importance giving rise to numerous applications.

The probability calculation is a study of random or non-deterministic phenomena or it is an evaluation of the probable nature of an event. The probability of an event is a real number between 0 and 1. The larger this number, the greater the risk (or chance) of the event occurring.
