1. Forms and transformations in Architecture

This chapter presents elementary notions of form and ways of producing creative ones in Architecture. It provides a historic background of the question as well as some elements of its actuality. The chapter intends a transition to the spatial notion at the end by introducing key formal/spatial components of Islamic Architecture.
