This course introduces students to the principles and tools for designing structures to be integrated into architectural projects. It explores the structure's ability to enrich architecture, considering the structure as an integral part of the architecture rather than a purely technical and not as a purely technical component.
- Understanding the principles of structures as a whole and their mechanical behavior in the face of different stresses.
- Introduction to reinforced concrete structural calculations.
- Introduction to the types of structure and establishing a close link with the project workshop.
It contains four (4) chapters with a series of tutorials:
Chapter I: Types of Structures and Loads
Chapter II: Concrete and Steel
Chapter III: Design of Reinforced Concrete (RC)
Chapter IV: Footings
-
The aim of the Structure 1 module is to define the different structures likely to the conceptual activity of the project. It is important to :
✔Define the structure✔Identify the different types of structures✔Define the different areas of use and application of the different structures studied✔Design the different types of structures -
To ensure that the tutorials (TD) run smoothly, you need to know:
- Notions of SOM (Strength of Materials)
- Some mathematical concepts
- Simple notions of physics
